Hi I am Alicia thanks for taking some time out of your day to be with me!
I am a wife and a mother and a jill of all trades! I love to sew and craft and I am a hard working momma to two special boys! I can usually be found at the sewing machine or at yoga class…haha just kidding I am usually chasing my two boys around but I squeeze those other things in whenever I get a chance, which is not as often as I would like!
I am the creative project coordinator for InspireUp, a non profit that aims to inspire a kinder and more giving world. I led the Love Mil Kids initiative where we gave away over 500 stuffed hearts made from donated military uniforms. I am currently coordinating a quilt drive for Veterans Community Project’s newest tiny home village in St. Louis, MO.
Here are a few random facts about me:
I cannot live without my coffee. I take it with cream, no sugar.
I am crazy about sewing and blogging! I love creating tutorials and patterns and sharing ideas with people! I have put together a list below of some of my favorite posts here on the blog.
Felt Bookmarks/Happy Planner Accessories
DIY Adaptive Clothing for Wheelchair Users
I taught myself to sew many years ago and I seem to learn something new every time I sit down at the sewing machine! I sew just about everything, except clothes, they are my nemesis and I just can’t break the code.
I am a sucker for a new workout and my friends are always sending me new workout challenges. Right now I am loving Les Mills Barre, Body Combat, and Body Pump.
My oldest son is in a wheelchair but I often forget to tell people because I rarely even think about it anymore. It has become my normal and so oftentimes when we are out and people are staring I am trying to figure out what they are staring at!
I love connecting and meeting new people so please feel free to leave a comment below. I am also on instagram and twitter (@sewwhatalicia.) And of course check me out at the facebook and pinterest.
