I am so excited to be part of Craft Lightning again!
Supplies:
Firm Felt <— This is my favorite bundle from Target.
Instructions:
Cut the heart pattern above from two squares of felt.
** Felt Tip: If you trace onto the felt with pen you can use your scissors to shave the pen mark off of the felt. Hold your scissors flush with the felt and cut the first layer to get rid of the pen marks.
Then cut two 1″ x 3″ strips and one 6″ x 1.5″ strip, I did these in a contrasting color.
Pin one of the 1″ strips along the inside edge of one of the hearts. Sew in place.
Clip the next 1″ strip along the second edge, you will have to fold the first strip out of the way, and sew in place.
Now pin the bottom edges of the 1″ strip together and sew.
Now we will add the second heart. Repeat this process of clipping one edge of the 1″ strip to the inside edge of the second heart. Sew in place.
Repeat on the other side.
Now grab your longer strip and sew it in place on the inside of the heart just below the v of the heart.
Add a snap to the front of the heart and to the top of the long strip.
You can round the strap or even cut it into a heart shape at the end before adding the snap. That is it! Now you have an adorable little heart caddy that is perfect for stuffing with goodies for Valentine’s day!
