Easter Mini Quilt Tutorial
I don’t do quilts very often anymore because they just take too much time. That is why I am totally obsessed with the mini quilt trend that is happening! I love being able to put together an adorable mini quilt without feeling the pressure to create an entire lap or twin size quilt! Here is an Easter mini quilt tutorial. If you love quilts make sure you check out Fave Quilts for even more amazing quilt tutorials!

Three Pieced Eggs (get the tutorial HERE)
White Fat Quarter Moda Bella Solids (for front)
Fat Quarter Spring Bunny Fun Multi Colored (for backing)
Spring Bunny Fun Eggs Geranium (for binding)
Fusible Fleece (one package)
Aurifil Thread (Light Turquoise 2805, Wine 2260, Medium Orange 5009)
Instructions:
Pin your pieced eggs to your white fat quarter. Use the same zig zag stitch from the piecing tutorial to go around the edge of the appliqué and attach them to the white fat quarter.
Now cut a piece of fusible fleece to the same size as your white fat quarter. Iron the front onto the fleece. Then line your backing fat quarter up and iron it on to the back.
Using your Aurifil threads stipple the white portion of the quilt. Then go back in with different colors and play around with different quilting designs on the eggs.
This is the one that I was happiest with! I love the swirls!
Now Cut your binding fabric into 2″ strips and attach them together until you have a strip that is long enough to go around the entire quilt. Press the strip in half.
Full disclosure I don’t ever measure, which means I end up with lots of extra binding because I want to make sure I have enough. You could measure the sides and then add a bit for each corner that you will have to turn. Now line the binding up so that the raw edge faces the raw edge of the back of the quilt. For more detail about attaching the binding see THIS POST.
Attach the binding all the way around on the back side. Then flip the blanket over and bring the binding around to the front side. You can attach it by hand or with your machine. I am a machine kinda girl!
That is it! Isn’t this the cutest little Easter mini?? I love a fun mini quilt don’t you?
The final step is to borrow a friends bunny and get them to pose! This was actually much easier than it sounds!!
And a chicken for good measure!
