What kind of blankets should every nursery have?

You can never have too many baby blankets. Even during the summer little ones can get cold in the air conditioned house. There are lots of different kinds of baby blankets. Receiving blankets, swaddle blankets, crib quilts, and quilted blankets to name a few.

What is the best size for a baby blanket?

There are several different sizes of baby blanket. A crib size blanket should be ~30″ x 46″. A receiving blanket is 20″ x 20″. But honestly the sizes of diy baby blankets are really a personal preference. Some people like to have a larger blanket that their little one will grow into. While other times you want a smaller more compact blanket that won’t get in the way of a carseat and is easier to pack. It is a good idea to have a variety of blanket sizes for baby.
