Instructions:

For each page in your busy book you will need two pieces of fabric, I like the size 10.5″ x 20.5″. You can choose your size but you will be folding the long side in half to create two pages so your fabric should be wide enough to fold in half. Then you probably want to make it a square so the height should be the same as the width when it is folded. Then add .5″ as a seam allowance on the top and bottom.

To create the page place the two pieces of fabric right sides together. Sew around three and a half sides leaving an opening on the side to turn the page out.

Turn the page out and pin the opening closed. Press the seams for a really crisp finished book page. Top-stitch the opening closed.

Add your appliqués to the page with Heat N Bond. When creating multiple pages assemble the book before adding appliqués so that your appliqués aren’t out of order.

To assemble many pages lie them all flat (not folded.) Sew a seam down the middle of the book (like a book binding.) Go over the seam several times to make sure that it is sturdy.

Didn’t these little taco appliqués turn out so cute? All I did was draw one free hand on some card stock. Then cut each piece out. Then trace it onto the heat n bond paper and iron it on! It couldn’t be more simple!
