Reverse Applique Circle Quilt Tutorial

I saw a beautiful quilt on Pinterest with this reverse appliqué technique and I couldn’t get it out of my mind! When I got this Season of Love fabric from Blend I knew it was the perfect time to try out the reverse appliqué! Check out my reverse appliqué circle quilt.

When I saw this fabric I knew I had to work with it! The adorable elephants and peacocks are totally my jam! But I knew that they needed some shine to make them pop. I used a fun technique to add deco foil to the elephants and peacocks!

Head over to the thermoweb blog to see my full tutorial (<—-click there) for this adorable quilt!! Have I mentioned lately how much I absolutely adore deco foil?? It is by far one of my favorite products to work with!! I literally have every color you could possibly imagine and I love to just look at it!

Wouldn’t this blanket look amazing on a little girls bed, or on a couch in your living room! Where would you put this quilt?

You could make a template that is lots of other shapes as well! How about a fun hexi?? The possibilities are endless with this technique! And can I say one more time how much I absolutely adore the fabric? So many fun colors and patterns. I love a fabric line that has a ton of color and pattern options it makes it so fun to work with!!

Oh and P.S. if you are curious to learn more about yours truly then check out the feature (<—-click there) that Thermoweb did!! You can learn some new things about me plus see some adorable pictures of my sweet sweet family! I have to say they are adorable!!!! Go check it out.

Thanks for the awesome post! I recently won a bunch of things from Therm-o-web’s facebook giveaway, including deco foil and I didn’t even know what it was!
I had no idea you could use it on quilts!
Can’t wait to watch your tutorial!

Oh my gosh! That is one of the most fantastic parts about the foil is that you can sew right over it! So amazing right??? There are several kinds of adhesives to try out, you probably got them in your prize pack! I love the hot melt adhesive and I use it for fun appliqué projects (check out my fall mug rug that I posted today!!!) Let me know if you have questions, I am a wee bit obsessed with the stuff if you can’t tell!!
