Brit.Co Classes:

I adore classes on Brit.co! They are fun and modern. You can find lots of classes that aren’t embroidery related. They have classes on TONS of creative skills from hand lettering to quilting.

Intro to Embroidery

This intro to embroidery class is seriously fun. This class would be perfect for a teenager who wants to learn a fun and modern version of hand embroidery. This class focuses on lettering words and a few simple embroidery stitches. They also have a whole section of free classes that change from time to time so make sure and check those out too!

Thanks for the information. I have worked with embroidery in some sort of fashion for almost 45 years and I went ahead and purchased the Craftsy DVD Hand Embroidery Into Class. It was well laid out and contained some new to me information. I will use it as a reference for the future.

There’s a series on my blog called Embroidery School which has been featured in several magazines (UK and Australia). The series teaches 12 stitches in a simple wheel available as a downloadable pattern, plus there’s a second pattern that uses the same 12 stitches also. The school teaches about tools and fabrics, transferring patterns, caring for stitching, traveling with embroidery work, too. Everyone is welcome! It’s free and it’s here: http://sweaterdoll.blogspot.com/p/embroidery-school.html
