My house is filled with boys. I have two sons and they have totally bought in to their dad’s obsession with Star Wars. We had to get Disney+ solely to watch the new Mandalorian show. I will admit that I was skeptical, but I have to admit it is a super fun show and I love the act of sitting down as a family to watch every Friday! There area always some great lines so I knew I would be creating some shirts ASAP! So I had to create this free Mandalorian cut file for my boys. Here is the first shirt, made from the Mandalorian saying in the 2nd episode.
Free Mandalorian Cut File
It should go without saying, but apparently it doesn’t. This is a free file. It is not meant to be sold in any way. It is strictly for personal use.
If you love Star Wars you will also love THESE cut files. Plus check out THIS baby yoda cut file!
What supplies do I need to use cut files?
SVG cut files can be used with most cutting machines. I use a Cricut Maker. You could also use a Silhouette Cameo or a Brother Scan N Cut. Then, THESE are the must have accessories to use with cutting machines.
This file can be cut using lots of different materials. You can use HTV or Iron On, adhesive vinyl, paper, felt, or even fabric (plus more!) One of my favorite places to get this vinyl is Expressions Vinyl.
You will need a heat source to apply the heat transfer vinyl. My favorite is the EasyPress, make sure you have the pressing pad that goes along with the EasyPress. You could also use a heat press if you have one available.
Does Cricut cut SVG files?
YES! You can upload these files directly to the Cricut design space regardless of whether you have Cricut Access or not.
You can also upload the file types shown below. There are a lot of file options available to upload to design space.
Does Silhouette cut SVG files?
The Silhouette does cut SVG files. However you have to have (at least) the Designer Studio software. The Business software will also cut SVG files.
The basic design software does not support SVG files. You can upload PNG files and use those but you cannot use an SVG.
Tips for applying HTV
I highly recommend using an EasyPress. A regular iron just doesn’t do the trick when it comes to HTV or Iron on. The EasyPress and pressing mat make it so much easier to add HTV to projects.
Be sure to check the heat settings of the vinyl you are using. If the packaging didn’t come with the heat settings check the website where you ordered the vinyl. Using the correct heat is crucial for success.
Press your project before placing the HTV. For shirts you want to make sure there are no wrinkles. I also find that a little warmth helps the HTV adhere better. Also don’t forget to turn the piece over and give it a quick press from the back. This helps remove any bubbles you might have.
Fold your shirt in half to find the middle, then gently fold your vinyl in half. This will help you line up the image and prevent crookedness.

I plan to create several more of these fun files. The show is just so great that I find myself thinking of a shirt design every few minutes while I am watching!
If you use the file please share with me on Facebook or Instagram, i’d love to see.
