Patriotic Quote Cut File
I LOVE the 4th of July and I also LOVE Hamilton. Ok I haven’t actually seen Hamilton but I am dying to go and I love all the bits and pieces that I have heard. One other thing I love is seasonal projects that you can use year round! You work hard to make your projects so why not make something that is relevant for the 4th but that you can still use when the holiday is over!! Here is a patriotic quote cut file for your personal use, contact me for commercial use inquiries.

Cutting Instructions:
There are so many different machines out there, I recommend the Silhouette or the Cricut. There are also so many ways to use this cut file. I want to just go over a few of them since you may be new to cut files and I haven’t done many here on the blog.
An SVG file can be used on your Cricut machine or in the designer edition of Silhouette Studio.
The JPG or PNG can be used in the free version of Silhouette Studio. Here is what you will do.
Open Silhouette Studio and then Open the file.
Make the image bigger because it will pop up pretty small. A yellow warning triangle warning will pop up but we can ignore that in this situation. Now select the trace option on the toolbar at the top right. You can see it is selected in blue in the image below.
Click the yellow box with the butterfly that says select trace area and highlight the entire image.
Unclick the high pass filter and click the low pass filter. You may want to zoom in so you can see the words better. Then adjust the threshold to make sure the words look correct.
Now click the Trace button. It is the one that is a butterfly made up of two lines. You will see the words in black and a red line surrounding them. Go ahead and move the black words away. You can delete them because we are done with that image.
Now you are left with the file that is ready to be cut. You can adjust the size and send it to your machine to be cut.
Uses:
Now as to what to use this file for I have SO many suggestions!
If you cut the file on freezer paper you can use it as a stencil for a t-shirt or a baby onesie.
Cut the file out of heat transfer vinyl to use it on a tote. Use regular vinyl to make a sign out of it or to add it to a mirror or glass. I love Expressions Vinyl for this option! (Scroll down to enter the EV gift card giveaway!)
Definitely definitely use hot melt adhesive from Thermoweb to add foil to the words and make them sparkle!
Use the PNG without cutting it to make yourself a printed image that you can frame and use as decor.
