Fabric Squares/Scraps
Instructions:
Using your circle cutter cut out a 2″, a 3″ and half of a 2″ circle. (See video for visual of using the cutter.) For the half circle simply cut on the edge of the fabric rather than on the fold.
Using your fabric fuse attach the 2″ circle to the top of the 3″ circle. One dot in the middle of the circle is sufficient. Then glue the half circle into a cone by lining up the long edge and folding it in half (see the next flower a few pictures down.)
Fold the edges of the cone down and glue the piece in place with another dot of fabric fuse.
Add a button to finish the look of the flower. This is a fairly big flower and if you look at the finished picture below you will see that I ended up gluing the edges in a bit so that it had some more texture.
For another fun flower cut several 2″ half circles. Place a line of glue on half of the long edge then fold the other half of the long edge onto the glue.
This will create a cone shape. I folded the fabric so that the pattern goes to the inside but you could easily do it the other way if you choose.
Now fold the tip of the cone down to create a flat bottom. Dab a touch of glue to keep this in place.
Now place several of these cone shaped pieces together to make a fun flower cluster.
For the last flower pictured above grab a 4″ circle and cut in a spiral until you get to the middle.
Now using your glue start in the middle and start gluing the fabric back together making sure to overlap the fabric and bringing it up to create a more 3d shape. Add another button to the middle for a fun touch.
Click HERE for a video tutorial with a few more flowers and wreath assembly. Use your fabric fuse or a hot glue gun to attach the flowers to the hoop. If you are going to be using the hoop be sure your project is finished before you add the floral wreath because it will make the hoop so you can’t open it.
