Make Your Own Reusable Hand Warmers
These little gingerbread man hand warmers are seriously fun! They would make the perfect gift for your loved ones this holiday season! You can make these in normal shapes as well. Make them as circles or squares if you don’t want them to have a holiday theme. Or cut another fun shape like a dinosaur or animal for the kiddos. Here is how to make your own reusable hand warmers.
Make Your Own Reusable Hand Warmers
Supplies:
Gingerbread man template:
Cotton Thread
Cotton Fabric
Rice or Flax Seed
Lavender (optional)
Instructions:
Print the template and use it as a stencil or cut the gingerbread man directly onto the fabric using your cutting machine.
Use a 1/4″ seam and sew around the entire gingerbread man. Leave one side open to turn the piece out.
Snip the curves and the areas where you made a corner (the armpits and neck and between the legs.)
Turn the gingerbread man out. Then use your fabric markers to draw on the facial features and buttons. Fill him with rice or flax seed and add a teaspoon of lavender for a great smell! Clip the opening closed.
Sew the opening closed by hand using a ladder stitch or use the sewing machine and sew as close to the edge as possible.
Will you give these reusable hand warmers in the stockings this year? Share with me in the comments below.

This is a great idea. I think I’ll make them for several gifts.
