Free Christmas Ornament Template
These Christmas ornaments are so fun to make. There are so many ways you can customize them. Add hand embroidery or machine quilt them for lots of fun and different looks. Here is a free Christmas ornament template.
Free Christmas Ornament Template
Supplies:
Felt (by the yard) in varying colors
Glue Gun (optional)
Ribbon or Embroidery Floss
DecoFoil Fusible Spray Adhesive
Ornament Template:
PDF (to print and cut by hand)
SVG (for a cutting machine)
Instructions:
Cut the file by hand or with your cutting machine (I prefer my Cricut Maker.)
Use the DecoFoil spray adhesive to attach foil to different parts of the felt (be sure to follow the directions on the can of spray adhesive carefully.)
Attach the front piece to the background using hot glue, sewing machine, or hand embroidery.
Attach a ribbon or embroidery floss for hanging the ornament.
Make lots and lots! These are totally addicting! I have made so many!
I am making these ornaments to donate to one of my favorite charities. The Christmas Tree Project gives free trees to families who wouldn’t be able to have a tree without their generosity. A Christmas tree is such a special memory for kids during the holidays. As a poor kid myself there were years when we didn’t have a tree. This charity allows kids to make those sweet memories of the holidays when they might not be able to otherwise.
