Huge List of DIY Baby Mobile Patterns
What is a mobile for baby?
A baby mobile is cute decorative item that is hung over a baby crib. When you buy a mobile it often comes with music, lights, and motion. DIY mobiles are often much more simple. Some of the hanger options for DIY baby mobiles do have the ability to move and spin. They usually fit with the theme of your nursery.
Mobiles are meant to serve as something beautiful, interesting, or fun for baby to look at when they are lying in their crib. The movement, colors, or patterns could help stimulate your little one’s brain.
How do I hang a baby mobile?
Once you have created your mobile from these patterns you are going to want to hang the creatures on a mobile. There are several great options for attaching your pieces. You can attach them to an embroidery hoop.
Or you can use a more intricate hanger. THIS hanger has two curved pieces that spin independently which is a great option if you want to give the mobile a bit of motion. Or THESE are more colorful and a bit sturdier than an embroidery hoop.
When you hang the mobile in the ceiling be sure that you attach it so that it is very secure. Safety is the number one concern so you also want to make sure that as baby grows you keep the mobile out of reach as many of these pieces are meant for looks and not for handling or mouthing.

DIY Baby Mobile Kit
If you are looking for an even easier option you can find some really cool baby mobile kits. A kit comes with everything you need to create the mobile. Some kits come with just the supplies and you still do most of the work. Some kits come with the pieces already cut and then you put the mobile together.
When you are buying a kit be careful to check what is included. You want to make sure that it contains everything you need, unless you are ok buying the extras. I wouldn’t expect the kit to contain needle and thread, but some might. Just be sure to read so you aren’t surprised by what you are getting.
