Black Cat Small Pouch Tutorial
This small pouch tutorial is SO fun! I love working with felt because it is so forgiving and so fun to use to create images and shapes! Create this black cat small pouch for Halloween or just for Tuesday, it works great either way! Here is a black cat small pouch tutorial.
Black Cat Small Pouch Tutorial
Supplies:
Black Felt
White Felt
Pink Felt
Blue or Green Felt
Cricut Maker (or scissors)
Instructions:
First cut out the template. You can print the PDF and use your scissors to cut each piece from felt. OR and this is what I prefer, use your Cricut Maker with the SVG file. It will separate the pieces so you can cut them from each color felt. Use your sewing machine to appliqués the facial features onto the cat face.
Snip about 1/8″ in along the zipper every 1/4″. This helps the zipper to curve around the circle. Place the zipper face down along the top of the wrong side of the cat face. Sew the zipper in place using black thread and a zipper foot.
Now attach the zipper to the back circle of the cat.
Now clip the circle closed and top-stitch the bottom of the circle closed.
Tada! Isn’t this black cat everything? The cat is perfect for storing your Halloween candy or even just pens and pencils. The possibilities are endless! This would also be adorable with handles as your little one’s first purse!

I love your black cat! I have not little ones to make it for. But my sister-in-law has a black cat of her own, so I may just make one for her. I also think I may try using my cricut to cut out the pieces. I’ve never used it for that, so it will be a new skill that I learn. Thank you for sharing your pattern.
