10+ Silhouette Tools for use with Fabric
Silhouette Fabric Bundle – If you don’t have a Silhouette this is the first place to start! Here is everything you could need for cutting fabric in one place! Plus it is a super good deal!
Ultimate Silhouette Guide – If you are new to the Silhouette or even if you have had it for a while this book is a MUST HAVE! It has everything you could possibly need to know about using the Silhouette inside. I am reading it cover to cover and there is so much information!
Fabric Blade – This blade is just like your fabric scissors. Don’t use it for anything but fabric! You want and need a dedicated fabric blade! Just think about what Ryan Gosling would say, hey girl just use this blade for fabric!
Clean Cut Interfacing – You are going to want to stabilize the fabric before cutting. This interfacing makes the fabric the perfect weight to cut with the Silhouette.
Fabric Ink Starter Kit – This kit has everything you need to start making vinyl stencils and creating screen printed like items. It has everything you need in the kit. This Boy’s Stencil Shirt is a great example of how to use this stuff!
Fabric Ink – This fabric ink is great for making screen print like shirts and items. Create a stencil with the Silhouette and then use the ink to customize your item! This link will take you to all the different color options that are available.
Heat Transfer Material – This material comes in light and dark options so you can use it on any color fabric (you have to order each option separately.) Use the sketch markers to draw a design and then this heat transfer to iron the design onto your fabric.
Printable Cotton Canvas – Use your sketch markers to print right onto this canvas and then create whatever project you desire.
Tool Bundle – Here are all the tools you need to get your beautiful designs off the cutting mat. There is a tool for everything! The scraper is great for cleaning off the mat after use and the spatula is nice for picking up small pieces. You could also grab some tweezers to help you out as well.
Cutting Mat – You are definitely going to want a few extra mats on hand. If you are working on a big project you don’t want to take the extra time to stop and remove everything from one mat and start all over!
Iron on Vinyl – This stuff is fantastic! It is like creating your own oil cloth. I like to use this over the intricate appliqués that I cut with my Silhouette. It really protects the appliqué and makes the fabric waterproof, seriously awesome!
One more thing you must do is go and check out KimberDawnCo for even more great Silhouette info and they have a large collection of free cut files which are perfect for use with all of these tools!!
